All top ten women’s single players on the world ranking shows up to the World Championships, when the tournament kicks off in a week. And this year, there is one big favorite to take the title.
Unbeatable Tai Tzu Ying is favorite
Last year world No. 1 women’s singles shuttler Tai Tzu-ying of Taiwan skipped the Glasgow, Scotland to compete in the World University Games in Taipei City. An interesting decision and Tai Tzu Ying apparently rather world skip the WC, as it is held every year. However, this year she is huge favorite the take the title.
Tai Tzu Ying  is seeded to face He Bingjiao  in the quarterfinal and Ratchanok Intanon  in the semi’s. But she is also in the same half as former champion Carolina Marin , who has great tradition for performing her best at the WC. Marin is seeded 7 and set to face Ratchanok in the Quarterfinal.

2 Japanese and an Indian in the bottom half
In the bottom half you find the reigning champion Nozomi Okuhara , who is seeded for a quarterfinal. Here she probably will face P.V. Sindhu , which will be a repetition of the final last year in Glasgow.
The favorite in the bottom half to reach the final is Akane Yamaguchi , who, if the seeding holds up, will face Chen Yufei  in the quarterfinal.
